संविधान के अनुच्छेद 81 के अनुसार लोक सभा में अधिकतम 530 सदस्य राज्यों से तथा 20 सदस्य केंद्रशासित प्रदेशों से निर्वाचित हो सकते हैं। 104वें संविधान संशोधन, 2019 के पश्चात 2 आंग्ल-भारतीय सदस्यों के मनोनयन को समाप्त कर दिए जाने से अब लोक सभा की अधिकतम निर्धारित संख्या 550 है।
